Job Description
The Janitor will work under the supervision of a Custodial Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services. Such duties shall be in accordance with C&W Services established standards, instructions and procedures.
Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Sweep, mop and wash floors and other surfaces (within the building).
Use light and heavy duty (commercial duty) floor (buffer) and hair washers (including attachments).
Vacuum office and common area carpets. Perform spot cleaning daily and wash carpets with detergent as needed. Clean furniture, display cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures and all other horizontal surfaces including periodic overhead dusting.
Wash window sills, interior doors, partitions and glass of designated windows.
Wash entry doors, interior/exterior glass and trim - wash/clean interior walls daily as needed.
Clean bathrooms and replenish paper supplies daily. Standard bathroom procedures include wiping glass surfaces with a damp cloth, emptying wastebaskets, maintaining soap and toilet paper dispensers, sweeping window sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, cubicle partitions, sweeping/mopping/scrubbing floors, etc.
Monitor for possible defects such as clogged urinals, lights out, etc. and report to supervisor.
Collect construction debris daily and place in approved containers and place in designated collection areas for subsequent removal.
Replace liners in wastebaskets and trash cans as per specifications.
Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting walkways/sidewalks as directed.
Perform regular work: dusting from heights, polishing leather and wood surfaces, washing walls.
Any and all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
No experience required for basic cleaning duties
Must be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and work as part of a team
Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
Use portable vacuum cleaner - backpack style.
Requires attention to detail, pride in providing quality service, organized, and a high level of energy and stamina.

The compensation received by the successful candidate will be based on a variety of factors, such as whether the position is subject to a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic region where the work is located, the market wage rate in the region, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.
Compensation for this position is: $20.74 - $21.00
